About the artist
By experimenting with colors and forms as well as different materials, the Hamburg native creates representational and abstract pictures and collages. Mainly made of acrylic, they grow out of intuition and mood.
Among the preferred other materials are marble flour, tissue paper, as well as wax and cloth, which give the paintings a plastic structure.
They are pictures that are meant to please. A play with the contrasts of color and form.
The paintings of Gunda Jastorff present a position in art that reflects a picture of today's society and combines the timeless with the contemporary.
